healdav Posted 6 April , 2016 Share Posted 6 April , 2016 It has been happening for decades. NOTE that the penalty for being found with a metal detector is 7500 euros. For having battlefield souvenirs it is even higher. NOw perhaps some of the clever people around will believe me.
BIFFO Posted 6 April , 2016 Share Posted 6 April , 2016 I will NOT name names,I spoke to a Belgian and he told me often belgian farmers get in touch with him, saying I have found some war rubbish on my land,if you do not come and pick it up I will plow back into the ground, apparently if the farmer informed the authorities ,they would stop him from working his land, until they had searched the area for clues to the mans name/rank/regiment as I say some Belgian farmers in sure are brilliant and respectful BUT not all Biffo
