bkristof Posted 28 November , 2004 Share Posted 28 November , 2004 Hi, yesterday i saw the presentation of the new book: Levende herinnering. De oorlog die nooit ophield 1914-1918 It was a nice, clasical presentation. The book itself is more a guide of what is there to see today + the own motivation and vision of the writers. A lot of forum members there + WW1 researchers concluded that the book can be a nice gift to someone who knows nothing about WW1 and the sites. For someone who knows about WW1 it is less interesting. Except if you like a lot of nice today pictures of the historical site. more info, in Dutch: http://www.wereldoorlog1418.nl/herinneringen/voorwoord.html Greets, kristof

larneman Posted 28 November , 2004 Share Posted 28 November , 2004 Thanks both of you for the links. Would you happen to know of any dutch books on the "Interning of Soldiers in WW1" There is nothing in english to be found except a few bits on some websites and a little, too little, on dutch sites. greetings from Hoogwoud, Liam
Walter Kortooms Posted 28 November , 2004 Share Posted 28 November , 2004 Hello Liam, have you ever been to this site? There is some information on this page and a list of dutch books on this subject on this page. greetings from Eindhoven, Walter
larneman Posted 28 November , 2004 Share Posted 28 November , 2004 Thanks Walter. I have been to all those links. Have not been able to access any of the books mentioned on interning Military, yet. A friend is looking for me in Den Haag, he is studying there. There is an interesting website on the Groningen "HMS Timbertown" internment camp, where the RND were interned. Again thanks, Liam
