Guest Valerie Posted 28 November , 2004 Share Posted 28 November , 2004 Hi Folks, Have attached photograph of my Grandfather (right in photo) his brother at the left and unknown man squatting down. I had earlier posted a message wondering what regiment he belonged to. Maybe the man squatting belongs to someone out there. It is possible he was with the Royal Field or Royal Horse Artillery. Spoke to mum about Alfred, apparently he was gased and left for dead in a French barn during the war. Thanks Valerie
Guest Ian Bowbrick Posted 28 November , 2004 Share Posted 28 November , 2004 Certainly Royal Artillery. If you look up their medal index cards on line this should narrow it down to RFA/RHA or RGA.
Guest Ian Bowbrick Posted 28 November , 2004 Share Posted 28 November , 2004 As for Alfred Wilsons in the RA on-line - take your pick! http://www.documentsonline.nationalarchive...=1&mediaarray=*
