Conference on the Hulluch gas attack, Dublin City Hall, April 16, 2016

Tom Burke of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers Association is organising a conference on the Hulluch gas attacks of April 27-29th, 1916 in Dublin City Hall on April 16th, 2016 starting at 10.15am.

This is a major conference and the only event organised in Ireland to commemorate an event which killed more Irishmen (532) during Easter Week 1916 than were killed in the Easter Rising (485).

The speakers include myself, Kevin Myers, Dr Elaine Byrne, Philip Lecane, Carole Hope and the German ambassador Matthias Höpfner.

The conference will start at 10.15am and ends at 4.30pm. There will be recitations, songs and the naming of some of those killed on both sides in this attack.

All are welcome but we expect places to be limited so do come early.
