Khaki Posted 23 March , 2016 Share Posted 23 March , 2016 Some time ago I watched a very interesting documentary about the last surviving GW/WW2 rail gun in the UK and that it was being loaned to the Netherlands for a display. I have heard nothing since, either about its return, where it resides or plans for its future. Can anyone bring me up to date on this? thanks khaki
ss002d6252 Posted 23 March , 2016 Share Posted 23 March , 2016 It was only due to remain for 6 months, presumably it returned but I never saw anything (that I remember) about its return. Craig
Bombadier Posted 23 March , 2016 Share Posted 23 March , 2016 It's now in the Armouries museum at Fort Nelson overlooking Portsmouth. There is a You Tube film showing it's instillation. Search for Fort Nelson railgun I believe. Great day out and it's free. Nigel
