HarryBettsMCDCM Posted 27 November , 2004 Share Posted 27 November , 2004 Heres hoping someone can recognise this Helmet Plate,Which I think may be of Belgian Origin,It is of Gilt Brass with a Screw Fixing,The "Comb" of the Helm @ the Top is missing & there is a very nice Bullet Hole @ an angle,of about 45 deg. ,below the Breastplate, through the Flames of the Grenade{a 7.62mm Round fits very snugly into the resultant orifice, see 2nd JPG for trajectory}It measures approximately 11cm W x 10cm H;Any Ideas??? bkristof Posted 27 November , 2004 Share Posted 27 November , 2004 It looks like a military school badge. But i am not 100% sure that it is Belgian, can be French too. It is certainly pre war!
bkristof Posted 27 November , 2004 Share Posted 27 November , 2004 No not Belgian, i did some research, it is not Belgian. I think French military school. Because it is a mixture of the medical badge + pioneer badge + infantry/ grenadier badge
