cazna Posted 27 November , 2004 Share Posted 27 November , 2004 Hi I have purchased a WWI trio named to: Lieut. F.L. HEPPEL RNR I have a summary of the ships/bases he served on in WWI: White Oak, Zaria ("Q"),Wallaroo,City of Perth,Pekin, along with letters from each ship's captain confirming service. The summary, dated in the 1930s says he was Mentioned in Despatches 2 times, 3 times recommended for decorations and received the thanks of the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty for good services. I believe he was commended for services connected with Boom Defences of harbours. Can anyone help with any confirmation/ further references to him. Thanks Duncan
