Would any kind soul have a good overall picture of the memorial itself and the panel (236)

which lists

Pte John Smith SS/14037 ASC HMT 'Royal Edward' casualty

please.

This is for a work colleague who told me today of her family members story. She has alot of

info on him just not the photos.

Best regards,

Simon.

Simon,

I'll have a look for the panel in my pictures.

Has your colleague seen my website  ?

Kath.

John Smith is on Panel 236.

This panel has the last ASC names & the first RAMC names.

It is rather weathered.

If you contact me I can send a pic.

I have a brass plaque & flag that was presented to the people of Exeter (and your mayoress) from the Australian Commissioner thanking them for their hospitality to Australian troops passing through Exeter and Chris also kindly sent me a copy of his little card that you have on your site.

Anyway, we digress...

I take it you have now been able to furnish Simon with a photo?

Thanks

James

Many thanks to all who responded.

Due to long hours and lack of sleep I have been unable to do much else until now.

I will send PM's to both Kath and Bob.

Thanks again

Simon.

P.S. Kath that is a great website and I have forwarded the address to my work colleague

as I think she would be very excited to look at it.
