York Cavalry Depot

Hi,

Can anyone give me the location of the Cavalry Depot in York please?

It pops up a lot in my g-grandfathers service record, and I will be visiting the area soon and would like to see what's left.

Seems to be where he joined in 1906, was station until 1908 and demobbed in 1919. So I assume it was a large Cavalry or Hussars depot.

Thanks.

Joe.

Googling is always a good start - this might be helpful

As might this

In Fulford, and largely demolished, but still a bit to see.
