Royal Naval Reserve

Died 13.11.16

Commemorated: United Kingdom Book of Remembrance

- LITTLEWOOD, James

Private 280146

1/1 Bn, South Nottinghamshire Hussars

Died 11.08.18 Age 49

Commemorated: United Kingdom Book of Remembrance

NOT FORGOTTEN

One of the above was an In From the Cold Project case.

- Engineman Gibson died post-discharge of heart disease (Volunteer: Michael Johnson)

Another possible case of Non commeration

His tombstone states "Royal Fusilers"

Reading through what is available on the net he was a US army officer serving attached to the British army.

Son of the late George and Charlotte Gibson; husband of Mary Jane Gibson of Aberdeenshire.

 

N.B.

Recent research has shown that this casualty is buried here. The Commission is in the process of producing a headstone to mark his grave.
