4thGordons Posted 7 January , 2016 Share Posted 7 January , 2016 Bit out of my comfort zone - but couldn't pass this up. A small piece of what might be called "Trench Art?" produced from a smallish calibre shell casing with handles made out of copper driving band (?) and nicely engraved. I'm struggling to identify the case type. The calibre appears to be @80mm - bit hard to tell because the top is splayed out to create the "petal" effect. Base is 92mm diameter Markings appear to be: (starting at 12 o'clock) st. FN 187 OKT 1917 HI 27 FN is in a circle, HI may be H1 see: Thanks in advance Chris

trajan Posted 10 January , 2016 Share Posted 10 January , 2016 A very nice piece and I can quite understand why you would want it - "An Gordonach, An Gordonach!" Trajan
