Scalyback Posted 6 January , 2016 Share Posted 6 January , 2016 Cambridge offer up they are the only OTC with a battle honour, earned from the Boer war. Historically from rifle volunteers. However some googling come to Bristol OTC having a separate capbadge for senior students(ie 2nd year student) and this was rewarded due to the amount of either students or otc cadets being killed in the great war. One reference was to women but they did not join the OTC system until much later on. Most google links have it as a battle honour(it can't be!), it is more a unit embellishment. Does anyone have the correct story?
