On a photo I have of my Gdad with comrades in France

There is a rather imposing Gent sitting in the middle

He has a pace stick and a crown on his sleeve (fore arm)

As Gdad was in the Ammo Column 242 South Mids.

Would this Chappie be the Battery sergeant or the RSM.

Any ideas?

Bill

Hi Bill,

I believe you are correct with BSM. Funnily enough I obtained some RGA pics today with identical sleeve insignia except I know the man was a BSM (if ive got the right man).
