Similar to my last posting. Any information at all, about this Austrian unit (especially between 1907 and 1918) would be gratefully received.

Thanks ,

Dave.

Dave,

I did a little checking and found some scattered references to the 93rd IR. THe site I checked first was http://www.austro-hungarian-army.co.uk/ A little further dearching found the following:

93 IR, 9th Inf. Brigade, 5th Division, Galicia Front in August 1914, the Northern Front. In 1918 the 93rd was apparently in the 34th Division and was in Kiev on 1 June 1918, subordinate to German Army Group von Eichorn. It left for Serbia 14 October 1918. I know it is not much but I hope it helps.

As I mentioned on a previous post, Ralph. Anything at all helps, as I started with nothing, so I am very grateful for the info. that you've provided. It gives me a foundation to build upon.

Thanks again,

dave. :D

In case anyone's interested, this is the reason behind my interest in this unit : an Austrian "Dog-Tag".
