CWGC added the following name to the Casualty Roll today.

MacKENZIE, Alfred

Leading Seaman 219268

Royal Navy, HMS Vivid I

Died 11.08.19 Age 34

Commemorated: United Kingdom Book of Remembrance

NOT FORGOTTEN

The above was an In From the Cold Project case/

- L/Smn MacKenzie died post-discharge of tuberculosis (Volunteer: Richard Daglish)

Alfred MacKenzie lies in an unmarked family grave at Toxteth Park Cemetery, Liverpool, but we look forward to seeing a proper marker in due course.

N.B.

Recent research has shown that Leading Seaman MacKenzie is buried here. The Commission is seeking permission to erect a headstone to mark his grave.
