Ken Lees Posted 18 November , 2004 Share Posted 18 November , 2004 I'd say it is the shoulder title of a Volunteer Battalion of the Royal Scots Fusiliers. According to Ray Westlake's 'Collecting Metal Shoulder Titles', this regiment used the shoulder title 'SF' in the 1890s but by 1907 this had been changed to 'RSF' That would fit with the Volunteers using the standard SF but with the V over it. MACRAE Posted 18 November , 2004 Author Share Posted 18 November , 2004 Thanks Ken it would probally fit as there is a load of Territorial titles Scottish ones to come so perhaps it was part of a collection at some point. Dan
