burlington Posted 18 November , 2004 Share Posted 18 November , 2004 This is a WW2 request but I am hoping someone can help. I am a volunteer photographer for the British War Memorial Project. This morning I was with a local hostorian (ex-submariner WW2) from Llanfair Caereinion in Powys who has done a lot of work on identifying private memorials and it was fascinating to see what he had accumulated. One of the soldiers he has done some work on is: Name: LEAH, CHARLES Initials: C Nationality: United Kingdom Rank: Private Regiment: Cheshire Regiment Date of Death: 08/06/1940 Service No: 4189181 Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead Cemetery: GRAINVILLE-SUR-RY CHURCHYARD He would like a photo of his gravestone in France if any one is in the area sometime in the future. Thanks in advance Martin
