Dave,

I was hoping you could help. I'm trying to find out information on my Gt Grandfather - G.H.West - who was killed in action in the 1st World War whilst serving in the East Lancs regiment. The only info I have is a number that was stated in the covering letter sent with his posthumous medals (35310).

I'd be extremely grateful for any advice on how I can track down more info, re. where we was posted and where & when he was killed.
