Guest WalterMc Posted 16 November , 2004 Share Posted 16 November , 2004 I have medals with the following inscription 14438 Pte A McKillop East Lancs Reg The great war for cevilisation1914-1919 Also a card with 14496 B Co.9th Batt East Lancs These belonged to my father unfortunately I never questioned him on where he served although Gallipoli comes to mind . He also served 1939 -1946 His father ( my grandfather )Sgt John McKillop 6855 3rd Batt East Lancs Reg. ( Special Reserve)awarded Queens South Africa Medal with clasps Cape Colony and Orange Free State and the Kings South Africa Medal He also served in the Great War anyone any idea in what theatres of War Both men came from Burnley Lancs Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
