Try Peter Donnelly at the Regimental Museum. (KINGSOWNMUSEUM@INAME.COM)

Good luck

Have you read: 'Lions of England' A pictorial history of the King's Own Royal Regiment (Lancaster) 1680 - 1980 by Stuart Eastwood ISBN 0-947971-68-8

Thanks for all your help

can anybody tell me anything from this medal card - not very clear -what medals did he get and for what?

have followed your advise - have been to library in Lancaster and looked all documents in there.

have been to museum - no wiser - have dropped the regimental museum an e-mail - so fingers crossed

many thanks

Theresa

Theresa,

Looks like he got the Victory Medal and British War Medal. No Star recorded so not in action 1914 / 1915. He also had a Long Service and Good Conduct Medals by the look of things (1924).

Can't make out if he was Lance Sjt or Colour Sjt.

Regards, peteg
