wesleycj Posted 19 July , 2015 Share Posted 19 July , 2015 I was wondering if the award of the ARRC, entry in the Edinburgh Gazette 2 Jan 1918 Issue 13186 page 62 Miss Nora Johnson, VAD could possibly be a typo and it is actually Miss Nora Johnston, VAD who has a MIC indicating she entered France 13 April 1917. She is also entered in the VAD, TFNS roll for the BWM and VM, full name Nora Isabella Campbell Johnston. Any help in solving this similarity would be greatly appreciated. FuManchu18 Posted 30 June , 2020 Share Posted 30 June , 2020 A rather late response - but it's not a typo: Miss Nora(h) Millicent Webb Johnson was a VAD nurse at No.11 General Hospital, Genoa, at the time, and was definitely awarded the ARRC. I have a diary entry from my great-great-aunt, who was her friend and colleague there, that mentions the award.
