Hi I wonder if one of you wonderful people can help me once again. I have found out that my Great Uncle Herbert Battye was with the Army Service Corps ( Horse Transport ) T / 424544. Is there any way I can find out where he was / served during the Great War? Thanks in advance for your help. Lizzie x

Have you seen his papers on Ancestry?

Name: Herbert Battye

Gender: Male

Birth Date: abt 1888

Enlistment Age: 30

Marriage Date: 24 Mar 1913

Marriage Place: Hinchcliffe Mill Chapel Austonley Huddersfd

Document Year: 1918

Residence Place: Adeline Terrace Holmbridge, Huddersfield

Regimental Number: 424544

Regiment Name: Army Service Corps (Horse Transport)

I can't find an MIC for him - but it looks as though he saw Home service: the only places I can make out are York and Bradford.

Hi Lizzie,

I have sent you a personal message.

To read it, go to the top of the page and click on the "Envelope" icon, which should have a red mark on it.
