Hello people,

do you know what it's this ?

Maybe it's something like a signal rocket?

Thanks for any information.

? WW2 bazooka ( PIAT)/??

Alternatively tractor exhaust silencer. Whats the background why might it be of WW1 provenance??

The left end of the top piece is typical of how you form a piece of round duct work where it attaches to the side of a rectangular trunk line.

First of all, sorry for the delay in my response.

I see now that I did not mention the measures of the piece, it 's very small, about 30 cm long, diameter about 4 cm.

I write "about" because it's not in my possession, I saw it in a WW1 museum and the director asked my an help to identify it.

It is made of wood and iron, so the presence of wood exclude the exhaust silencer hypothesis

Thanks you for the help.

Regards.

It looks like a chimney pipe with part of the cleaner stuck inside it, the seam as shown wouldn't hold any amount of pressure, so I think that negates any military weaponry theory.
