Anthony Bagshaw Posted 12 November , 2004 Share Posted 12 November , 2004 Hi Guys, 10 days ago whilst browsing Ebay i found a BWM awarded to Pte H Ellis DOW 18/4/16. I have his VM in my collection. I put in a strong bid but it wasn't enough, the medal sold for £102!!! So near but £102 is a bit steep for me, i never have any luck!! Perhaps the owner of his Star and/or Memorial Plaque were your competitors - maybe even a relative? Might be worth an email to the other higher-end bidders, Anthony. If they won't consider selling privately since you have the VM, might be opportune to put it on Ebay yourself (telling them, of course!).
