I know that only 1200 of these rare bayonets were made but somebody out there must have one for sale...I have never seen one advertised and no idea how much one would expect to pay for one ? I believe one sold in Australia a few years ago for Aus $6000 but it was in excellent condition...

A friend of mine recently traded off a Lithgow No6 for one. The No6 is worth between 6000-12000, probably 9000 is about right. Just shows what people are prepared to pay for one

Wow....I have just picked myself off the floor...Now I would love to know what some of my rare pieces are worth ? I suppose ebay would be the judge if you got the right people, and of course if I ever wanted to sell.....thanks by the way....
