Guest bonza Posted 12 November , 2004 Share Posted 12 November , 2004 Thanks, Myrtle. It is greatly appreciated. Would it be asking too much for someone to place a poppy , if available, near "Glenrowan" and "Walhalla". Pat

Myrtle Posted 13 November , 2004 Author Share Posted 13 November , 2004 Andrew & Pat I wasn't at the service but walked through that way at 2.30 pm.There was a steady trickle of people visiting at that time although they don't appear in the photograph. I was there when the Australian Memorial in London was originally "opened " and since then, when going that way, I stop and read through some of the thousands of place names engraved on the surfaces. The Memorial is a very effective way in which to pay tribute to all those communities across the world and the men and women that they lost.
