Hi

I am trying to find citation for Military Cross awarded to Robert Gregory, Connaught Rangers and Royal Flying Corps.

I would also be interested in knowing the London Gazette reference for being made Chevalier of the legion d'Honneur.

Thanks

The award of the Legion d'honneur was announced in London Gazette number 30184, 14 July 1917. His MC was announced in London Gazette number 30188; the citation reads:

Temp. 2nd Lt. (temp. Capt.) Robert Gregory, Conn. R., Spec. Res., attd. R.F.C.

For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. On many occasions he has, at various altitudes, attacked and destroyed or driven down hostile machines, and has invariably displayed the highest courage and skill.
