Please see attached a photograph of a brass knuckle duster. The reverse side is stamped '1916' (i.e. opposite the 'Horstmann' marking.)

Any thoughts/info would be welcome. Many thanks.

Hortsmann were an engineering company based in Bath, they built a light car both pre and post Great war.

Interestingly enough I have an Austrian one (rescued, believe or or not, from an archive, where it was being used as a paperweight). Once I can find it in the chaos of my move I shall post a pix of same. 'Mine' was manufactured in Graz and was 'used' on the Italian front; from memory, it looks exactly the same.
