As a reward for three tedious days spent clearing out the loft we are off to Arras. Not sure of exact itinery but happy to take six photo requests, subject to the digital camera co-operating.

Stephen, Dougal & Simon - success photos taken, I'll download them and email them in the next couple of days.

A hard memorial to photograph, the names do not show too clearly unless they are on the bottom stones.

Max sorry - due to an Anglo - French incident in the centre of Arras we b*****ed off to Vimy for the rest of the day where we enjoyed freezing winds, torrential rain and when the clouds eventually cleared hail and sleet.

I wouldn't have fancied living in a trench at this time of year!

Hi Lesley and Brian,

Just picked up the posting - many thanks for doing this. I wouldn't have been able to get to France in the forseeable future and have never been to the memorial, so I am very grateful for the time you have taken.
