FM Haig's rifles

In the well known photographs of FM Haig's study at Bemersyde one of which he is seated at his desk, the other being a shot from the minstrel gallery there are two rifles on the wall one appears to be a Mauser G98 and the other a sporting rifle. Is there anything known about them and where they are now? I am interested to know more about the sporting rifle in particular.

thanks
