CROONAERT Posted 31 March , 2015 Share Posted 31 March , 2015 I can't get your exact date, but can 'straddle' it for you... This map extract dates from 17th February 1916 ... Dave.
CROONAERT Posted 31 March , 2015 Share Posted 31 March , 2015 ... and this one (supposedly) dates from 5th December 1915 (I suspect that it's actually a (early) January 1916 print, but is 'trench dated' to 5th December 1915)... Dave
CROONAERT Posted 31 March , 2015 Share Posted 31 March , 2015 ...another version of the 5th December 1915 map (this time from a 1:10,000 scale map - the other was from a 1:20,000 scaler) ... Dave

CROONAERT Posted 31 March , 2015 Share Posted 31 March , 2015 If you are still there, do you have anything for June 1918, Down in the south I am looking for any type of trench maps around Courcy, South of Longpont and Soissons. '...Down in the south'...?? Hell, Martin, the most southerly description that I'd give the Soissons area is the 'north midlands' of the Western Front at the very least! Anyway, here's an extract from a German trench map from May 1918 if it's any good? (I'm presuming here that you are meaning 'Corcy'... or are you referring to maps from 3 locations? (I've got plenty of Soissons maps from 1917/18, a number for Courcy (near Loivre) from 1916/17/18 and a few for Courcy (near Reims) from 1916,17& 18 if needed). Dave... CROONAERT Posted 31 March , 2015 Share Posted 31 March , 2015 Is the red trench line North of Longpont a French defence line ? It is, yes. Dave.
Martin Feledziak Posted 31 March , 2015 Share Posted 31 March , 2015 Dave that is great. I am going to copy your map onto my thread if that is OK Then I shall delete my stuff from Andy's thread. . If you delete the Corcy map too, it will not look like I rudely hijacked the page. and took it off "Down South" Martin
