Remembered Today:

Frederick father of Norman WISDOM

After a post elsewhere on the forum I thought I would see if there was any info on Normans father during WW1.

Wiki give a brief line about living in Paddington and Maida Hill.

There is a service record for him on Ancestry showing him in ASC as a driver M2 192731.

I am puzzled by an application for repatriation to India that was approved.

1911 census shows him as living in London with his parents,

Is there a way to find the apparent connection with India.

Thanks for the link Craig.

As there is nothing about Ceylon or India in his service record, addresses etc I wondered how he could claim for repatriation. There is nothing in his records that say he travelled to England from either place to enlist,

Found him on a passenger list from Bombay landing London 7/5/16.
