Hi,

I`m trying to research HMS Blenheim, for the period 29/05/19 to 07/07/19, can anyone tell me what she was upto during this period?

Also what the rank 3.WR RN, means?

Cheers,

Gordon.

I`ve since discovered that my guy Arthur Lane, served aboard the Blenheim from the 29th May 1918 to the 7th July 1919.

He also served on the Pembroke three times (i take it that the Pembroke is a ship), and not a land base.

Blenheim was sea going depot ship in the Thames. Spent 1914 -18 as Destroyer depot ship in the Med. Sold 1926 to Ward, Pembroke Dock.

Was it Pembroke or Pembroke III?? Pembroke ( II thru V) were stone frigate shore bases.

Aye

Cheers Malcolm,m

Thats very interesting. I think it was Pembroke, as there are no numbers after the name, on his service papers.
