HI ALL

IM HOPEING TO MAKE A TRIP TO THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, AND ECOUST-ST-MEIN IN THE SPRING.

IV LOOKED ON GOOGLE EARTH, AND THE FRENCH ROAD MAP, AND WONDERING WHAT IS GOING TO BE THE BEST ROUTE.

CAN SOMEONE RECOMMEND A EASY ROUTE

AS IM ON THE SOUTH COAST I AM GETTING THE FERRY FROM DIEPPE

From Dieppe take the N27 and then A29 to Amiens. Follow the A29 round the south side of the city and then take signs for Albert/Bapaume. You will eventually get onto the D929 which goes past Querrieu to Albert. Thiepval is not far away and is signposted.

Back onto the D929 go to Bapaume. Up the D917 (direction Arras) until you reach Ervillers. Then cut across east on the D9 towards Croisilles, and Ecoust is signposted from there.

There are of course hundreds of places of interest en route.

Savour that first view as you come around the corner as you leave the car park, it's completely breathtaking.
