Maydin Posted 10 June , 2015 Share Posted 10 June , 2015 This is truly amazing. I just bought a 1903 FN Ottoman contract. I would love to clean it up and purchase some of the missing parts. Maybe even bluing it. Once you have a chance, could you please share some of you internet sources for parts and other resources to guide me? I need to get a slide stop and that lanyard ring for now. The bore does not have any rifling left. I am not planning to do bullseye shooting with it but like to keep it functional. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you! 4thGordons Posted 10 June , 2015 Share Posted 10 June , 2015 I'm not sure on export to Canada but Gunparts Corp (W.Hurley NY) would be a good place to start for parts. I have used them for lots of parts for a decade or so and they are a professional operation, they are high turnover so not really specialists but if they have it they will get it to you. Maydin Posted 10 June , 2015 Share Posted 10 June , 2015 Thank you. I have already checked them but no FN Browning 1903 parts with them. Thank you again for sharing, I will call and see if they have anything that is comparable.

This link (http://www.stockholmsvapenfabrik.se/zencart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2_68) is where I found parts for the M1903 Browning. Note that the M1907 made by Husqvarna is the same pistol. I restored my original grips. But you can get grips here (http://vintagegungrips.net/ao-b8.html); Good luck on your restoration.

cwbuff Posted 11 June , 2015 Author Share Posted 11 June , 2015 If you are like me, then you will be compelled to take the pistol completely apart to clean the inner workings. I spent a lot of time trying how to put this thing together. I have placed an 18 page (5MB) pdf file in my dropbox for you to download. It has lots of pictures and all the tricks to reassemble the pistol. Patience is a virtue in putting it back together. Let me know when you have downloaded the file. I will leave it there until I need the space. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ltdqudf51u0pbjp/FN%20Browning%20M1903%20Disassembly%20and%20Assembly.pdf?dl=
