Guest scarletto Posted 4 November , 2004 Share Posted 4 November , 2004 Can anyone help, sometime after the 20th of October 1914, the 5th Lancers were in this area, and the Indian Regiment they had in support started to give ground, when rallied by a Trooper Colgreave, does anyone know who the Indian Regiment were? CROONAERT Posted 4 November , 2004 Share Posted 4 November , 2004 It was the 129th(Duke of Connaught's Own) Baluchis , later to earn the distinction of gaining the first Indian Army VC. (Sepoy Khudadad Khan, 31st October 1914). Dave.
