Remembering all those who took part in the Christmas Truce of 1914 and wishing all Pals and forum members and their families a very Merry Xmas and a Happy safe and prosperous New Year :thumbsup:

And remembering the 149 men who didnt get to see Boxing Day.

... and also the estimated 6,000 to 10,000 French and German soldiers who didn't live beyond Christmas Day either...

Thanks for posting the timely reminders Dave and Gwyn; the image of the localised truce may be a lovely one but the way it is portrayed now as a missed chance for overall peace is so far from the hard reality of the time.
