HeatherC Posted 21 December , 2014 Share Posted 21 December , 2014 You can do it yourself. It's free on Ancestry at the moment. http://search.ancestry.co.uk/search/db.aspx?dbid=1262

HeatherC Posted 22 December , 2014 Share Posted 22 December , 2014 Alex - if you search on TNA Discovery (free to search http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/records/medal-index-cards-ww1.htm ) using only his Regimental number, you will find he has two cards both of which have been wrongly indexed: 1. As Queenstone http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/D4753743 2. As Overstone http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/D4472857 I have not pursued this on Ancestry (which as I said above is currently FREE to search MICs) but suspect they will turn up there under those names. Over to you to look!
Amor Posted 22 December , 2014 Author Share Posted 22 December , 2014 Hi Heather, Thanks for the links; I do have an Ancestry subscription but I was unable to find the MIC. Indeed searching now under Queenstone I have found it. Many thanks. Rgds,Alex
