philary Posted 3 November , 2004 Share Posted 3 November , 2004 Colin Have a wonderful time and savour it to the full. We have just returned from our first trip. Vimy Ridge is stunning at night as it is illuminated. One word of warning get there before 7.30 pm as the lights go off before 7.45 pm - What a great shame. Can anyone persuade someone to put more money in the slot? Look forward to seeing the photos Hilary

Morval Ross Posted 4 November , 2004 Share Posted 4 November , 2004 Hope you have a great trip, i remember my first trip, I was very excited to say the least. It puts all the books you have read on the subject in to context the minute you see the actual ground that was fought over. Avery moving experiance also. Hope you have a memorable trip. salientguide Posted 4 November , 2004 Share Posted 4 November , 2004 Colin have a great time it will be wonderfull and possibly quite emotional. My advice take in as much as possible at the time plenty of photos and then read up more about when back. Itll make much more sense with the background information you,ll acquire. Lucky you enjoy it.
