Frederick reed b 1893 Islington south west

in 1915 he was in the 6th city of London reg

wifes name annie Florence

was he killed in action or did he make it through

Do you know for sure where he was 1915?

Reedy it helps if you give as much information as you possibly can when asking something like this. So tell us exactly what any document say and exactly where the info comes from and that makes it easier for people to help you. Can I ask why your father or other family members don't/didn't know if Frederick survived the war?

birth cert Frederick reed 28 may 1893 Islington south west 40 charlot terrace

wed cert 28 march 1910 Frederick reed -annie Florence kemp Battersea 2 Canterbury place

dads cert 5 tenth October 1915 privet 6th city of London reg (journeyman baker)

1911 cens they were at 41cumming st pentinvill rd

dad died when I was in early teens

this is all from certs :(

There are Medal Index Cards for several Frederick Reed. None show addresses. The nearest to the info you have given is

Frederick Reed. Private 4502 1/6 London Regiment and transferred to Liverpool Regiment No 381953. No service record seems to have survived.
