Petroc Posted 23 November , 2014 Share Posted 23 November , 2014 Dear all, my cousin's husband in NZ has contacted me regarding a BWM/Victory medal pair he has had for years named to 3/2769 Lt A.H.A.Vivian NZEF; any idea from the number which unit he may have served in? And, as an aside, why would NZ officers have a service number impressed on campaignmedals when their UK equivalents didn't? Andy
Sepoy Posted 23 November , 2014 Share Posted 23 November , 2014 AndyNeedless to say, I cannot get access to my list of New Zealand Service number Regimental prefixes, but I believe he is in the New Zealand Medical Corps. Lt Vivian's Service Records can be found herehttp://ndhadeliver.natlib.govt.nz/delivery/DeliveryManagerServlet?dps_pid=IE21407075 Sepoy
Petroc Posted 23 November , 2014 Author Share Posted 23 November , 2014 Sepoy, Thank you so very much. The family live in the Christchurch area of NZ, though we're not aware of any blood/marriage connections with Lt Vivian. Brilliant stuff!
