Hi all,

Next man who I am trying to check out - 43211 Charles BOYLE, RAMC. He also served with the 19 Bn. Royal Irish Rifles service number 940, then again RAMC 205565 and 4251812. I can see that his MIC shows his address 7 Leopold Street, Belfast. He was entitled 15 Star trio. Landed in Balkans 28.03.1915 (???). also received GSM with "Iraq" clasp. He was sent to Class Z reserve.

1911 Census shows him in same address (born Co.Antrim).

Any extra information about him would be great.

Kind Regards,

Noor

The MIC is hieroglyphically challenging ! Alterations seen more clearly on the Medal Roll for 1914-15 Star shows altered date and zone code to 16.3.1915 (1),your ? marks probably denote that you found the date incompatible with Gallipoli. It was France.
