MaureenE Posted 17 November , 2014 Share Posted 17 November , 2014 With funding from Qatar, many of the documents from the India Office Records at the British Library relating to the Gulf Arab States and Iren have been digitized. This link from the BBC is about the digitization project. http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-29702694 There are some documents relating to the Campaign in Mesopotamia This is still a work in progress so there could be more to come relating to the Mesopotamia Campaign.. The remainder should be online by the end of the year. I found it difficult to browse and see what is there, (so many results were shown) and in the end found some items using IOR catalogue categories. The following records all have a reference starting with IOR/L/MIL which refers to the Military Department at the India Office. IOR /L/MIL/17 refers to the Military Department Library (There was another Library called the Political and Secret Department Library IOR/L/PS/20 which perhaps may have some digitized items of relevance in the future) Qatar Digital Library Digitisation of content from the British Library’s India Office Records Collection.
