Morning Ian

The War Diary has a block booking for the period 15th to 21 November 1914

In trenches at Rue Tilloy.

It note 'baptism of fire in this war. 1 Rifleman killed and 1 mortally wounded.'

Merely notes usual sniping and "A" Company suffered from the fire from HE shell.

Morning Graham

Thanks for that, they had only arrived at Le Havre on 6/11, so I can understand the 'baptism of fire' of fire bit!!
