SFayers Posted 24 October , 2014 Share Posted 24 October , 2014 In memory of my grandfather's cousin Frederick Walter Schofield who was killed in action this day, 24th October 1918. Frederick served as Private 271722 in the 1/1st Hertfordshire Regiment. Of those of the battalion killed this day, only Frederick has no known grave; he is commemorated on the Vis-en-Artois Memorial.
