CGM Posted 9 November , 2014 Share Posted 9 November , 2014 I don't know if this will help, but choose search records (to the R of Family Tree) and the search all records from the drop down menu. Put the first name in the LH box (ridiculous how it doesn't say which way round to put the names in) and last name in the RH box. Don't tick name variants until you have exhausted exact spellings. Click on SEARCH. Down the LH side you will have a list of subjects and you will be able to see which have entries for your name Tick the one you would like to start with. Later you can untick that and choose another, because they are all on the RH side already. Change to just a first letter for the first name if that doesn't work and if that doesn't work I leave the first name box empty and just look through the last names. Don't be too precise with places. Good luck!

CGM Posted 9 November , 2014 Share Posted 9 November , 2014 There is some filtering you can do, after you've worked through the above. Say you want to look at the census results. You can filter out the land and surveys by going to the bottom of the LH side and clicking on SHOW FILTERS for the RECORD SET. Then choose the census (more than one if you wish) you are interested in and APPLY. When you've finished cancel them (scroll down the LH side until you see the x to cancel and then move on.
