Hi all,

Is it possible to confirm did 10172 Pte. John L Swift, Irish Guards worked before enlistment in the Royal Irish Constablury? This list here has Swift J, L on the list that represents RIC men who joined Irish Guards:

Also is there any other information available about him?

Thanking you in advance,

Hi,

His service record should be available from RHQ Irish Guards, Wellington Barracks, London.

Noor, in response to your separate email to me, I've confirmed this man for you as having been in the RIC (and rejoined)

Thank you very much for both of you - also public apology to Peter due to the fact, that he wasn't aware - I am not Irish Guards collector and I wanted to check out details before I move Swift's medals on. People can check my previous posts - if it is a case that the medal that I am checking do not have my own collecting interest, I mention it publically and I do not want to take advantage of people's knowledge.

Kind Regards,

Timo aka Noor
