Based only on a memory of an article read very years ago I believe one of the Carolina States had so many Civil War uniforms in stock they were also use in WW2 for POW's

There is an account in one of the Civil War Histories "Never Sound Retreat" I think that towards the end of the war Florida had a warehouse stuffed with uniforms at the time the Army of Virginia was mainly reduced to rags. Lee requested that these be issued for his men only to be told by the Governor that these were for the use of Florida state soldiers only so no could do and they were never issued. Ironic if they ended up being used for German POWs

Thinking more about this - why would you want to go to the trouble of dying them Khaki? POWs should look as little like your own side as possible whilst being demonstrably not civilians - that way they are easily spotted if they get out. Putting them in the same colour uniforms as your own troops would be just plain daft
