andigger Posted 28 October , 2004 Share Posted 28 October , 2004 I was just curious if any of the Pals could id the cemetary in the background of this picture (left of center). The cemetary in front is Mud Corner. I think the other is Prowse Point, but the web site Silent Cities did not have a picture for me to confirm. Thanks, Andy
Aurel Sercu Posted 28 October , 2004 Share Posted 28 October , 2004 Prowse Point Cemetery of course. And I know, because it was me who took the photo ! On 16 May 2002. By the way, how did you get it ? Aurel
Aurel Sercu Posted 28 October , 2004 Share Posted 28 October , 2004 Sorry, Andy, I had not realized that the photo (probably) came from Silent Cities. (Yes, I had sent it - together with a few dozen more) to the webmaster a few days ago.) Aurel
Mat McLachlan Posted 28 October , 2004 Share Posted 28 October , 2004 Hi Aurel, Funny coincidence: I took the picture of Mud Corner Cemetery that appears on my website about three days before you took the above shot... You know, I thought I recognised you! Cheers, Mat
andigger Posted 29 October , 2004 Author Share Posted 29 October , 2004 Aurel, Actually I got it off Silent Cities in my search for the name. Didn't mean to 'steal' it without proper credit, but it is a great pic. Andy
Aurel Sercu Posted 29 October , 2004 Share Posted 29 October , 2004 Mat, Yes, I had recognized your Australian footsteps ! Andy, 'Steal' it ? Of course not. I was just curious, and wondering at the coincidence and the speed (since the Mud Corner Cem. photo had not left my pc more than a week ago !)
