elewis Posted 22 September , 2014 Share Posted 22 September , 2014 I have contributed to the following two websites that record war memorials, and might be of interest to some - both are searchable. Gloucestershire (Not 100% coverage) http://www.glosgen.co.uk/ Worcestershire (BTB 100% coverage, many with additional research on the dead) http://www.rememberthefallen.co.uk/ Additionally the following covers details of Post Office War memorials http://ww.royalmailmemorials.com Evan

elewis Posted 22 September , 2014 Author Share Posted 22 September , 2014 Coldstreamer, thanks for highlighting the error - I am not the best typist so did a copy and paste and still missed a "w" !. Glad it proved useful, one big advantage of that site is that it also includes memorials that you can not "officially" get accesss to - although I expect that if you asked very nicely in some instances the staff might "show you around". Also interesting what additional some show, eg the Cheltenham one lists those that served giving the date they enlisted. Corrected link for the PO site is http://www.royalmailmemorials.com Evan

elewis Posted 22 September , 2014 Author Share Posted 22 September , 2014 Pleased to have been of help gentlemen, especially where you located relations. Here is another link to an excellent site about Cheltenham (Gloss) War Memorials, it contains much more than just the names with a lot of additional information. Note: A lot of these memorials are NOT on the Glosgen site. http://www.remembering.org.uk/ Also remember that Memorial Hunter has done a great listing which includes a lot of Gloucestershire memorials on this forum - http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=80192&hl=%2Bgloucestershire+%2Bwar+%2Bmemorials Evan
